I read an article about the first same sex wedding in France in BBC News on 29th May.
This article says that the same sex wedding was hold on 29th of this month. The names of the couple are Vincent Autin and Bruno Boileau whom our another homework mantioned. The ceremony took place with a lot of police men to avoid some troubles. This law makes France the 14th country legarizing same sex marriage.
The reason I chose this article is that I wanted to know what happened in France after the naw law was established. I didn't guess that the first wedding was hold so soon.

I was surprised at this news. It happened soon after the law was enacted, as you say. Anyway, gay marriages would bring a big problem, which I didn't assume. Each time gay marriages are held, the police will have to be sent.

ReplyDeleteI was very surprised to hear that gay couple has already married soon after the law was enforced. I guess that couple was waiting for the new law established and they prepared for wedding while French government was arguing whether or not the law was appropriate, so that they could marry as soon as the law is enforced.
